As expected in the run-up, the Apple event on March 25 was all about services. Tim Cook has presented several new services during his keynote, which will start later in the year – but not all come to Germany for the start.
Apple TV +
Apple’s new platform, Apple TV +, will feature self-produced series, films, and documentaries starting this autumn. Various artists have presented their projects as part of the Apple event. Pricing and availability will be announced in the fall.

Apple TV app
Apple renews its TV App and wants to combine movies and TV shows from iTunes with other services like HBO or Showtime. These can be bought or subscribed directly in the app. Also, Apple TV + should be integrated there. The new Apple TV app will be available in over 100 countries from May and should also be available on smart TVs.
Apple Arcade is a subscription service for games on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. With the subscription, the user gets access to over 100 games including all content and future updates. The service should start in the fall.
Apple News +
The news app Apple News will be expanded to include magazines in the future. The subscription should cost $ 9.99. It does not come for the time being. The first stop in Europe will be the UK later in the year.
Apple launches its own credit card, working with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard. The Apple Card should be usable free of charge. For every purchase, a percentage of the purchase price will also be credited to the card. In Germany, however, it will not be available for the time being.

Then the Apple event starts on the subject of services. In addition to a service for movies and series Apple could also introduce new services for magazines and games.
As usual, Apple will broadcast the keynote in a live stream on the Apple website. This does not start until 18 o’clock but shows now already first references to today’s event in the still empty Steve Jobs theater. The screen currently has an Apple CarPlay screen. The vehicle probably drives the route from Hollywood to Cupertino and should arrive there a few hours before the event.
Apple Announces Event For March 25 – This Is Shown
Apple has announced an event for the 25th of March under the motto “It’s show time”. The invitations are rather simple: A white Apple logo on a black background. The invitation mail is accompanied by a movie start animation. So Apple gives a little hint, which will probably be the focus of the event: Films.
It has long been speculated that Apple could introduce a new film and series service. Like Netflix Apple wants to offer there probably own productions. In addition, a news service is in conversation. Mainly, the March event will be about service offerings.
Whether Apple also introduces hardware, will show. The “normal” iPad was last renewed a year ago, there could be an update pending. We have been waiting for new AirPods for some time. Recently, there were indications that AirPods 2 are in the starting blocks.
The Apple event will take place on March 25 at 10 am local time at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. Since the time has already been changed in the US, while winter still prevails in Germany, the event starts at 18 clocks German time.
